The Freshman 15 Week #12

Entering college is the best feeling ever no curfew, parties, and last but not lease food that never comes to an end. The first time I walked into PrairieView A&M cafeteria I was like " O My" there was food everywhere from pizza to ice cream. It was like a little kids dream an in your mind you have it set to where it's all free even though your financial aid. While walking around the cafeteria you mind start to wonder how this and this taste. Your eyes starts to get bigger then you stomach. So picture yourself eating like this for about a semester. Most students don't think twice about gaining weight until they put on the favorite outfit or go shopping and to find out you don't wear the same size as you did bring the semester started. Then they realize eating in the cafeteria everyday all day can put some weight on you. So next time you decided to pig out in the cafeteria start with a fresh salad, a lean meal and fruit for desert.

Summer's Coming Are You Excited.... Week 10

Most students can't wait until the summer time. Why of course  "No School". Some students feel that it's going to be hard because they have to find a job to keep a little change in your pocket. I think for high school students I can relate to them, most are ready so they do have to wear uniforms any more. Now their free to wear whatever they want like flip flops, tank tops, and shorts. Summer is the best season ever beautiful skies, sunny days at the beach, and most of all the wonderful weather. You don't have to worry about it being cold and foggy. Summer is known for being lazy, laying under the sun, and staying up all night because you have nothing to do the next day. The reason most students are happy is because they don't have to worry about homework and nothing to study. The word "Summer" brings so much fun to the world but the best part of it is the food and fun. The summer brings in the most yummiest snacks ad live live entertainment. You start to see carnivals, concerts, and fun festivals. When I hear of summer times coming I think of crawfish, watermelon, and water parks. Summer is made for traveling, getting your driving license, and enjoying life.

Job Hunting Lessons for College Week #11

For high school graduates finding a job for college isn't the easest thing. You have to make sure that you can balance the job being a college students. You have to make sure that your job doesn't intersect with your class time, study time and most importantly homework time. It's like having the two jobs at the same time. To me looking for a job is like looking for a wedding dress, you try one after another until you find the right one that fits you. The nite before your interview made sure you be well rested. The morning of the interview make sure you wake up a little early and they and research the job so you can ask the person interviewing you questions about the business. Eat a nice breakfast to get threw the interview, so that you can calm your butterflies down during the interview. After the interview make sure you keep in touch with the job for your interview status to see if you qualify for the job.        http://bit.ly/ZRMgYM
